CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – classroom

The CPC is required by transport managers in support of an application for a standard operator’s licence. This is the main way for a company or an owner driver to meet the Traffic Commissioner’s requirements. To obtain the CPC qualification, you must sit formal public exams. DTT offer courses and holds exams for CPC in both road haulage and passenger transport, either nationally or internationally.

The courses are most useful for passing the exam and gaining the official CPC qualification, but they are also very informative for anyone considering starting their own business. The syllabus takes you through all aspects of small business management, with the emphasis on transport businesses.

These public examinations take place four times a year in March, June, September and December (only June and December for international passenger exams). DTT has Oxford & Cambridge and RSA (OCR) accredited examination centres.
